Alana Blanchard, Surfing’s Finest
Alana Blanchard. Where do we start with this down-to-earth blonde beauty? Alana was born on the killer island of Kauai, Hawaii. On a mission to soak up her native surroundings, Alana gravitated towards aquatic sports the minute she came into this world. At the age of 4, her father was already teaching her how to surf. By the age of 9, Alana was competing in surf competitions and has been ripping waves ever since.

Today, Alana Blanchard is one of the most recognized surfers in the world. She is currently on the ASP World Tour, designing bikinis for Rip Curl, occasional bikini model for Sports Illustrated, and is the star of her own reality TV show, Surfer Girl. In 2011, she played Lorraine Nicholson in the film, “Soul Surfer” propelling herself into the Hollywood spotlight. But, Alana’s awesomeness doesn’t stop here. In her free time Alana also paddle boards, rides horses, finds her peace in Yoga and her butt-kicking moves training in Jiu-Jitsu.

She finds philanthropy to be rewarding and regularly teams up with best friend and professional surfer, Bethany Hamilton to throw charity events such as the “Keiki Classic” surf competition in her hometown (We must note, that Bethany Hamilton is also the bomb.com and be on the lookout for a future post). But most importantly, Alana seems to stick very close to the good ole’ fashioned life values of friends and family. She has openly expressed that her number one inspiration is the support she receives from her family and friends and for this and this alone, we love and support you Alana.

been riding waves for 55 yrs and appreciate good surfers, and she’s a good “contest surfer;” but I’ve seen so many girl and women surfers who have a smoother, more feminine styles that are a lot more appealing and natural. Sure, she’s cute, but she surfs like a guy, and it’s a real turn-off. Contests & money wrecked surfing.
